Plan deals in July 2026: The best offers on mobile and internet

A summer lull in the plan market? Not a chance. While half of Germany is packing its bags, providers are currently outbidding each other with promotional prices – anyone switching or signing up new in July can grab conditions that weren't around in spring. We combed the market and picked out five deals that are genuinely worth it. And because we're not an advertising brochure, every deal comes with a note on where the catch is. Because almost every one has one.

A note up front: promotional prices are a snapshot in time. All details apply as of early July 2026 – if you're reading this later, be sure to check our current comparisons. And one more thing: a deal is only a deal if the plan would suit you even without the discount. This rule sounds obvious, but it prevents ninety percent of bad purchases.

Deal 1: Lycamobile Global Connect M – 25 GB for €4.50

Our best value-for-money pick in mobile remains the M plan from Lycamobile in July: 25 GB on the O2 network for €4.50 a month, with unlimited calls included. Anyone needing more gets 50 GB for €6.50 with the L plan or even 125 GB for €9.00 with the XL plan – figures for which you'd pay four to six times as much with the network operators.

The catch: The promotional price applies to the 24-month plans for the first six months, after which the regular price applies. And be careful with the no minimum term flex plans: there, the promotional price only applies in the first month. The fixed-term plan is therefore, paradoxically, the more honest offer here. Deal 2: Deutsche Glasfaser – every plan €24.99 for 12 months

The early-summer promotion is still running: with Deutsche Glasfaser, every plan in the rollout area costs a flat €24.99 for the first twelve months – from Basic 100 up to Giga 1000. Yes, you read that right: gigabit fibre for the price of a mid-range DSL connection, for a whole year.

The catch: Three, in fact. First, these plans are only available where Deutsche Glasfaser is building or has built its network – an address check is essential. Second, the price jumps significantly from month 13: to €39.99 (Basic 100) up to €89.99 (Giga 1000). Anyone who books the Giga plan just because of the promotion will pay three and a half times as much in the second year. Third, no router is included; the provider's own WiFi package costs an extra €6.99 per month, and your own FRITZ!Box is usually the better choice in the long run. Deal 3: PYUR Cable – 250 Mbit for €23, gigabit for €39

PYUR remains the price breaker among cable providers: 50 Mbit for €19, 250 Mbit for €23, 500 Mbit for €29, gigabit for €39. Anyone adding TV and landline pays €30 for the 250 combo – a strong package, especially for households looking for a new TV solution after the end of the ancillary costs privilege. The catch: After the promotional period, prices rise to between €34.99 and €49.99 depending on the plan – don't forget to set a calendar reminder for when the term ends. And cable remains a shared medium: during streaming primetime, the connection can noticeably slow down, depending on how congested your network segment is. Deal 4: Vodafone Cable 50 for €19.99

The big red provider is also running a summer promotion: cable internet with 50 Mbit/s for €19.99 a month. That's no speed rush, but for a single or two-person household with normal streaming usage, 50 Mbit goes surprisingly far. Anyone wanting more speed: GigaKabel 250 is currently at €29.99.

The catch: 50 Mbit is the lower limit of what we recommend in 2026. Working from home with video calls plus a parallel 4K stream will get tight. And as with all promotions, the price only applies for the promotional period – check the follow-up price before signing, not after. If you're undecided, it's worth honestly comparing the two options; the €10 surcharge for five times the speed is a good investment as soon as more than two people in the household are online at the same time.

Deal 5: 1&1 DSL 50 for €19.99

The DSL counterpart to the Vodafone deal: 1&1 also offers its DSL 50 connection for €19.99. This is especially interesting for anyone without cable at home or who deliberately wants to avoid the shared medium – DSL delivers its 50 Mbit even at 9 p.m. in the evening, when the cable segment next door is struggling.

The catch: The question of the future. The copper network shutdown is coming gradually, and anyone signing a pure DSL contract with a 24-month term today should at least know that the technology is being phased out. It's perfectly fine for the next few years – but if fibre is already available at your address, Deal 2 would be the smarter choice.

So what does this mean for you?

Three rules of thumb to finish. First: promotional prices are discounts on time – always calculate the average price over the full term, otherwise you're comparing apples to teaser offers. Second: the best deal is the one that matches your usage; 125 GB for €9 is no bargain if you only use 12 GB. Third: availability beats price – the nicest fibre deal is no use without fibre outside your door.
